MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers players Ryan Braun, Corey Knebel, and Hernan Perez have each purchased 2,500 tickets for the team's final home game that will be given away to fans, the team announced Tuesday.
In total, 7,500 free tickets will be available for the game against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, September 28.
"Our fans are a big part of what we have accomplished this year, and on behalf of Hernan and Corey, we wanted to do something out of the ordinary to show how much we truly appreciate them," Braun said. "We've seen over two and a half million people come through the gates this year, and we want every one of them to know that their voices have been heard. We're fighting hard to extend the fun here through October, and we know that this last home series will be a great environment for players and fans alike."
The free tickets will be available online only beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Brewers.com/players. There will be a four ticket limit per order, and tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, the team says.
There will be a $3 processing fee per order, and tickets will be delivered to fans electronically at about 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
