MILWAUKEE -- One of the Milwaukee Brewers stronger bullpen arms has been traded to the San Francisco Giants.
The Brewers acquired right-handed pitcher Phil Bickford and catcher Andrew Susac in return for the left-handed reliever.
Bickford is ranked as the Giants top overall prospect on MLB.com's Prospect Watch. Andrew Susac is a catcher with just under 90 games of major league experience.
Smith had a good season for the Milwaukee Brewers, giving up just nine earned runs in 27 appearances. He appeared in 181 games in total for the Brewers after two seasons with the Kansas City Royals.
