MILWAUKEE -- Manny Machado is the hottest name on the market right now, and it appears we could be nearing the finish line of the swirling rumors.
Per MLB Insider Jon Heyman, the Orioles expect to get a deal for Machado done this week. The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the lead in the Machado sweepstakes, but "the situation is still fluid." The Diamondbacks, Phillies and Brewers all still have a shot.
The Machado situation is still fluid, and d-backs are also said to have outside chance, along with brewers and phillies. But LA leads.

Many reports are swirling around saying the Brewers should focus more on a starting pitcher, and not someone who would be a 2-3 month rental that may not re-sign when he becomes a free agent after the season.
The risk would be very high for Milwaukee, but they currently sit 2.5 back of the Cubs and could use a major spark to get them back on track.
The trade deadline is July 31.
