MLB the Show released it’s initial player rankings for the 2018 season, and three Milwaukee Brewers are in the Top 10 of their respective positions.
The newly acquired Christian Yelich ranks at an 82 overall, 5th best among centerfielders. He is behind the New York Yankees Giancarlo Staton, New York Mets, Yoenis Cespedes, Boston Red Sox J.D. Martinez and St. Louis Cardinals Marcell Ozuna.
Yelich is ahead of the Cleveland Indians Michael Brantley and Los Angeles Angles Justin Upton.
Last year with the Marlins, Yelich his .282 with an .807 on-base plus slugging in 695 plate appearances. He added 18 home runs and 36 doubles.
The Brewers big free agent signing, Lorenzo Cain, is also rated at an 82 overall and is considered the fourth best centerfielder in MLB.
Cain sits behind the Angels Mike Trout, Colorado Rockies Charlie Blackmon, and Houston Astros George Springer. He is just ahead of the Cardinals Tommy Pham and Tampa Bay Rays Kevin Kiermaier.
With the Royals in 2017, Cain hit .300 with an .803 OPS in 645 plate appearances. He added 15 home runs and 26 stolen bases.
The final Brewer to crack the top 10 is the ever present Milwaukee legend, Ryan Braun.
Heading into his 12th MLB seaon, the 34-year-old Braun is an 80 overall and ranks 6th in MLB among right fielders.
He is behind the Washington Nationals Bryce Harper, Red Sox Mookie Bets, Yankees Aaron Judge, Seattle Mariners Nelson Cruz and San Francisco Giants Andrew McCutchen. He is ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers Yasiel Puig and Astros Josh Reddick.
