It's the news no one wants to hear, but Roger Caplinger—who is in charge of the Milwaukee Brewers Medical Operations —got it late last year.
"December 1. I can't forget that! It takes a lot to digest that information. There was a lot of crying,” Caplinger said.
A doctor diagnosed Caplinger with pancreatic cancer.
"Things happen for a reason. I think the good lord is trying to teach me patience. I don't know if it's working Lance,” he told TODAY’S TMJ4’s Lance Allan.
As the Brewers Director of Medical Operations, Caplinger cares for others. Now he needs care, himself.
Roger is getting some of the best treatment in the world right here in Milwaukee. Members of the Brewers’ staff are supporting Roger, including Craig Counsell, and even Mr. Baseball Bob Uecker.
