The Brewers playoff run is more inspiring than you might think.
It's sparking lots of interest from everyone especially the kids who don't look like most players in the major leagues.
Currently, percentages are low when it comes to black players in the big leagues. The latest MLB racial and gender report card shows less than 8% of players are black.
15-year-old Isaiah Hogan shares a perspective he hears a lot from his peers.
"It's because they think it's boring but once you get on the field, they see that it's fun right," he said.
However, the Brewers are changing that. Randy Hogan a coach with the Beckum-Stapleton Little League says the current playoff run has more black kids interested in the sport.
"Everybody's pumped up, everybody's pumped up," he said.
"Definitely when they see players especially like Jeremy Jeffress, Lorenzo Cain, you know players that look like them."
And the league is also doing their part to increase participation.
On Friday night the Brewers surprised this group with tickets for game 6 of the NLCS. And earlier this season, players like Jeremy Jeffress and Lorenzo Cain met the young athletes.
"They love it, they love it," Hogan said,
“They want to emulate that."
Saturday night about 50 of the players in this league will also be going to the game 7 to cheer on the Brewers. Coaches say they love the exposure.
