Milwaukee burger chain George Webb estimated it gave away about 100,000 free burgers to celebrate the Milwaukee Brewers 12 straight wins.
From 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, fans lined up to get their free burger after a Game 1 NLCS victory sealed 12 straight wins for the Brewers.
People lined up at restaurants across Southeast Wisconsin to get their free burger, and thousands more got free burger vouchers if they couldn’t get their burger on Thursday.
100,000 burgers are nothing to scoff at, but the last time the Brewers won 12 in a row in 1987, George Webb served nearly 170,000 hamburgers.
