It may be the beginning of an active July for the Brewers, who are in the middle of a long-term rebuilding project. Big names like Jonathan Lucroy have also continuously come up in trade rumors.
According to Brewers Player Development, Aaron Wilkerson will be sent to AAA Colorado Springs, while Wendell Rijo will "most likely" start at Class-A Advanced Brevard County.
The Brewers also sent an undetermined amount of cash to the Red Sox in the trade. Hill is batting .283 for the season, with 8 home runs and 29 runs batted in.
Milwaukee acquired Aaron Hill in January of this year, in exchange for shortstop Jean Segura and reliever Tyler Wagner. The Brewers also got starting pitcher Chase Anderson and Isan Diaz in that trade.
