If there’s ever been a time to take your mind off things by vegging out in front of the television with your favorite snack, it’s now. Luckily, if your comfort food of choice happens to be something that’s both sweet and salty, Sam’s Club has a new treat you’ll want to pick up on your next grocery store run: Snickers popcorn!
The lightly seasoned popcorn is drizzled with caramel and then covered with ground-up Snickers candy and nuts. The sweet and savory snack has 150 calories per serving and only 30 grams of sodium.
A 20-ounce bag is $5.98, exclusively at Sam’s Club, which does mean you’ll need a membership if you want to try it.
If Snickers snacks aren’t your thing, Candy Pop also makes three other candy-coated popcorn varieties: Twix, M&Ms and Butterfinger. The Twix popcorn is also available at Sam’s Club and you can order the M&Ms popcorn on Snack Pop’s website, as well as the Butterfinger flavor.
The Twix popcorn is coated with Twix pieces and drizzled with chocolate and caramel, while the M&Ms popcorn is drizzled with chocolate and coated in mini M&Ms. The Butterfinger popcorn is also coated in Butterfinger candy pieces and then drizzled with peanut butter.
You’ll also find two cookie-flavored popcorns from Snack Pop — Chips Ahoy! and Oreo. While Chips Ahoy! is available on Snack Pop’s website, you can get the Oreo flavor at Sam’s Club.
The Chips Ahoy! flavor is drizzled with chocolate and coated with Chips Ahoy! chocolate chip cookies, while the Oreo flavor not only has crushed Oreos, but is also drizzled with actual Oreo creme filling.
Cold Stone Creamery is also getting in on the popcorn fun with a Sweet Chaos Cake Batter popcorn that is also exclusive to Sam’s Club. The handmade kettle corn is made with cane sugar and sea salt and then covered with cake batter-flavored drizzle and sprinkles.
The popcorn comes in a 10-pack box (1.5 ounces per bag) and is $9.98, making it less than $1 per bag. You can find it in-store or order it online, where you’ll get free shipping if you’re a Plus member.
If none of these are piquing your interest or you’d simply rather avoid heading out right now, you can also make your own fun popcorn for at-home movie nights.
This recipe from Cookies and Cups for salted caramel popcorn combines butter, corn syrup, brown sugar and salt for what sounds like a seriously irresistible and addicting treat. If you prefer chocolate flavors, this Moose Munch from Baking A Moment combines caramel with white and dark chocolate.
Will you be stocking your kitchen pantry with any of these offbeat popcorn flavors?
