The death toll rises after a gunman shot and killed dozens, injuring hundreds during a country music concert in Las Vegas.
WTMJ's own Steve Scaffidi was mayor of Oak Creek five years ago when that city endured a mass shooting at the Sikh Temple.
He tried to shepherd his city through its darkest days and all the issues that surround such a tragedy.
