MENOMONEE FALLS — If you’re in Menomonee Falls and need to grab a bite to eat, just head down Lisbon to the Social Haus for some fish tacos or cheese curd burger.

At the Social Haus, it's all about quality food and quality time with friends and family.

“We’ve got the greatest neighbors that have helped support us through these times," said Dan Della.

When COVID-19 first closed down businesses across the state, owner Della was hoping two weeks would be enough time for things to get back to normal.

“We took everything out of the kitchen. We scrubbed it down, hosed it, power washed it, did everything to it," said Della.

But as weeks became months, Della changed his plans for the Social Haus.

"You know the shutdown was longer than I thought, so we started doing fish fries on Fridays and then eventually carry out every day," said Della.

Now in the heat of July, customers are able to visit their favorite spot once again.

Della is even bringing back live music on "Sunday Fundays" to try and help local musicians regain some income.

“It’s really important to me to do what I can now that we are up and running and kind of give back," said Della.

Because at the Social Haus, it's not just a place to eat, it's a place for the best neighbors a restaurant could ask for.

“Without them, this place wouldn’t be around. So I just, haven’t thanked them enough or even thanked them, but yeah without them we wouldn’t be here," said Della.

The Social Haus is open seven days a week Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday, 9 a.m. to midnight.
