Milwaukee Police: 1 dead, 1 injured in shooting near S. 13th and Becher Streets on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Police responded to a double shooting on the city's south side Sunday night which left an 18-year-old man dead and a 19-year-old man injured.

It happened just before 7 p.m. near the intersection of S. 13th and W. Becher Streets.

According to police, officers arrived and found the 18-year-old man suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Officers and the Milwaukee Fire Department performed CPR on the victim, but unfortunately, he died at the scene.

Moments later, the second shooting victim arrived at a nearby hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot injury. The 19-year-old man told police that he was with the homicide victim and they both were seated in a vehicle when a suspect fired multiple gunshots into their car.

Police are still investigating the shooting -- and are looking for the suspect or suspects involved.
