Whether you've already got your Christmas Decorations set up, or are waiting until the last minute, it is important to keep safety in mind. Jodi O'Neill joined us on Live at Daybreak Sunday to share with Julia Fello the most important reminders for this holiday.
Christmas Trees:
- Don’t let go dry
- Toddlers or pets can try to pull over so keep them away or protect the tree
- Keep glass or breakable ornaments up high out of harms way
- Check lights to make sure there are no frayed wires
Gifts:
- Make sure are age appropriate
- No choking hazards for little ones
- Have packages delivered to your office versus your home
- Do not put gifts by windows where thieves could see them
Decorations:
- Don’t leave ladders unattended
- Place decorations out of reach of small hands
- Keep candles away from youngsters
- Remember Poinsettias can be toxic to your family pets
