MILWAUKEE -- The first day of open enrollment for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act began November 1 and ends December 15, 2017.
Caroline Gomez-Tom, project coordinator for the Milwaukee Enrollment network joined us on "Live at Daybreak" to remind us of the changes and what is still in place this year under ACA.
She says the best website to use is CoveringWI.org and you can also call 211 to schedule an appointment with an enrollment assistant, or find enrollment events.
The individual mandate is still in place, if you do not enroll you will have to pay a $695 penalty or 2.5 percent of your annual salary, whichever is greater.
