A 30-year-old Milwaukee man turns himself in for killing a 35-year-old family member Saturday.
Police responded to an incident around 10:35 p.m. at a home near the intersection of Palmer and Concordia.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Shakira Hicks. She was pronounced dead at the scene, when police arrived.
Milwaukee police tell TODAY'S TMJ4 there was a fire at the residence and it is connected to the victim's death.
No other information has been released. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
Milwaukee police say they will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days for charges.
