MILWAUKEE -- If you love shows like Forensic Files, this Wisconsin-based book may be right up your alley.

Retired Milwaukee Police Lieutenant Steve Spingola wrote about strange deaths, that all happened in our state. It shot up to number one on Amazon's hot new releases. He joined us on Live at Daybreak Saturday to share what he's learned.

The book Staggered Paths: Strange Deaths in the Badger State examines 31 strange deaths some attribute to the "Smiley Face Killer." All of the victims except one were men.

These strange deaths occurred in St. Croix County, Stevens Point, Oshkosh, Madison, Whitewater, Mosinee, Sheboygan, Green Bay and Superior.

It is the story behind the stories that makes the book interesting.
