MILWAUKEE -- Laura’s Smile Mile, a 5K run/2 mile walk, is set for its 10th annual event.
It will be held Saturday, June 4, at Veterans Park on Milwaukee's Lakefront.
The event is dedicated to Laura David, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in her early twenties. Laura fought her cancer head on and maintained a smile throughout her struggle with this difficult disease. Laura became an angel after a 7 year battle with ovarian cancer.
Money raised goes towards ovarian cancer research. Over the years, the organization has raised more than $115,000 for the Medical College of Wisconsin's research.
