TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN FALLS — A stretch of State Highway 23 near Sunset Road in the town of Sheboygan Falls became the scene of two separate multi-vehicle crashes involving at least 15 vehicles Thursday morning.
Around 7:30 a.m., visibility along the highway was severely limited to less than a tenth of a mile, according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said an initial investigation shows that the dangerous conditions contributed to a nine-vehicle collision when one vehicle attempted to cross Highway 23 from Sunset Road and was struck by oncoming eastbound traffic.
As first responders worked to clear and secure the scene, a second crash occurred just west of the initial accident, involving six more vehicles, according to the sheriff’s office.
