A report says that an equity group in Missouri has bought a trademark Wisconsin company.
The Business Journal's Dan Shafer reports that Caleres, a company that specializes in shoes, has bought Allen Edmonds, based in Port Washington.
The shoe and apparel company is one of the most well-known quality shoemakers in America. It was owned by a Los Angeles company from November 2013 until now.
Caleres bought Allen Edmonds for more than a quarter of a billion dollars, according to the report.
