A local woman is spreading some positivity in southeast Wisconsin after giving almost $5,000 to servers and delivery drivers.
Brittany Jill told TMJ4 that she gave a Steny's waitress over a $700 tip thanks to donations raised through social media. Jill said she saw a similar challenge on social media app Tik Tok. Jill asks people to donate $0.25 to $0.50 and then gives it to restaurant workers through tips.
"It's been incredible the generosity of people during this time," said Jill. "I knew a lot of people have been struggling during COVID and I wanted to give some people some positivity in their lives, just as much as I needed it too."
Since posting the Steny's challenge yesterday, Jill said she's raised almost $1,000 in less than 24 hours for the next one.
