(KOAA) A young cancer survivor is finally able to smile after her parents were referred to a plastic surgeon in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Grace Cuellar was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was just two-years-old. During brain surgery, she had a mini stroke that caused paralysis in her face, arms and legs.
She regained the feeling in her limbs, and was cancer-free, but doctors said there was nothing they could do to help the lingering paralysis in her face.
Now, seven years later, Grace is smiling again, thanks to Dr. Fred Deleyiannis, who performed a revolutionary micro vascular surgery.
