CLEVELAND — It's rare, but it happens.
Thundersnow made an appearance on an Ohio Department of Transportation camera this morning.
The thundersnow appeared on several ODOT cameras on Wednesday morning after an intense snow squall dumped several inches across Northeast Ohio.
So, what is thundersnow? It's a snowstorm event in which thunder and lightning occur. Thundersnow often occurs with very heavy snow, usually falling at 1 to 3 inches per hour.
