You know you're going to want to take pics of friends and family (and yourself!) this holiday season. But, you won't be able to if your phone's storage is full. If you just can't figure out why that "Out of Storage Space" notification keeps appearing on your phone, have no fear - Lindsey Granger's here. Check out her list of 3 popular apps that clog up major up space on your phone so you can get rid of the junk - and get back to those selfies.

1. Facebook Messenger

A lot of us love to use it, but the hard truth is, Facebook Messenger can take up more space on your phone than you think. The app is constantly caching information about your usage to your device - and all that info ends up staying on your phone. So, if you primarily use Facebook to post photos and talk to friends, and only use the messaging app to talk to a few people, get rid of the app on your phone, and just wait to reply to messages on your laptop or PC.

2. Passing the Time Games

Games you download on your phone can be sneaky stealers of your space and data, especially if you play them often. The more you play, the more data the game stores on your phone - and some can take up more than 100 MBs of space.

So, go over your phone and delete those games that you loved a year ago, but stopped playing and don't use anymore. You'll be surprised at how much more space you'll free up. And if you just can't say goodbye to Angry Birds or Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, cut back your usage from every day to a few days a week to keep the app from storing more and more data on your device.

3. Snapchat

You might know someone that seems to live on their Snapchat, but, what they might not know, is that the more you use the app, the more storage it takes up on your phone as it caches information. So, if you're willing to part with turning yourself into a bunny or donning a flower wreath in your selfies, doing so could free up a lot of space on your phone.

But if you love the app too much to let it go, at least try to limit your usage to a few hours a week.

What's the one app on your phone that you've downloaded and just cannot bring yourself to get rid of? We've all got one! Tell us yours on our Facebook page, @TheListShowTV.
