An Oklahoma couple thought they saw a lizard outside their home. Turns out it was something bigger.
The couple was driving when they saw something unusual.
"He thought, 'oh that's an awfully big lizard'," Deborah Ames told KFOR, "and it ended up being that little alligator."
A three-foot alligator was sitting on the side of the road. Not knowing what to do with the animal and afraid to leave it on the side of the road, Deborah's husband Rick decided to capture the gator, wrap its snout and bring it home.
The two stuck it in a dog crate and started making calls to the sheriff's office, police, animal rescues and anyone else they could think of.
