Indiana woman's pet fox turns heads

(WFIE) We're used to seeing pets on leashes, but that's typically limited to dogs.

Walking past Cassidy Gordon and her pet red fox Levi might make you do a double take.

On any given day in downtown Jasper, Indiana you may see Gordon walking Levi on a leash on the river walk. Gordon has raised Levi since he was a baby. She had always loved the animals and when she got a place of her own, she and her husband bought Levi from a USDA licensed breeder.

She said foxes have mixed characteristics of domestic dogs and cats. Gordon said there were a lot of things that she didn't expect from owning a fox.

"I just have to be patient with him and back off and say you're a fox and I respect that you're a fox and I can't change that," she said.
