West Mesa High School's Homecoming King gave away his crown to someone who that he felt truly deserved it.

Domonic Fischer and Anthony Harris are the best of friends.

From their inside jokes to their love for football, they've built a strong friendship after having met last semester in the Best Buddies group at Albuquerque, New Mexico's West Mesa High School.

Anthony is in Special Ed.

"We have fun," Anthony says.

Last year, Dom decided to run for homecoming king to surprise his friend.

"He makes my day every single day I see him," Dom said. "It's a beautiful hi or a cool hug."

It took lots of campaigning, but it all paid off when Dom won homecoming king at West Mesa.

He was crowned in front of the entire school.

"I don't deserve all this," Dom said, as seen in a video taken during the announcement. "Anthony, will you please come up?"

It was then that Dom decided to surprise Anthony in front of the school and hand over the crown to his best buddy.
