(WJHG/NBC News) Newly released dash cam video shows a bizarre tractor theft came to a shocking end.
Florida's The Washington County Sheriff's Office released dash cam video of the incident Tuesday.
Deputies said Friday afternoon, Charles McNeil, 28, was pulled over while driving a tractor on Douglas Ferry Road. Officials said the deputy saw the tractor leave the roadway several times before deciding to conduct the traffic stop.
They said McNeil first provided a false name and said he didn't have identification on him. They said when he was pulled over, a deputy found a knife and partially-labeled prescription medication bottle containing pills.
When a deputy tried to arrest McNeil, the video shows McNeil running away. Officials said McNeil hit the deputy as he tried to pick the deputy up and slam him to the ground.
