(WESH/NBC News) Residents of an Oveido, Florida apartment complex are describing a drunk driver's crash as a "one man demolition derby."
Police say 42-year-old Brendon Spalding went through a parking space, over the curb over a brick landscaping border and down a sidewalk while behind the wheel of his Porsche.
By the time he came to a stop, he'd hit 18 cars.
"He came up right next to our bedroom window, there were tire tracks in the plants, radiator fluid all on the sidewalk," said resident Sarah Euliano.
Investigators say Spalding hit cars from the front, then pulled a U-turn and drove past and into some of the same cars.
"Not only were they all hit from the front and behind, they were all dented in the side, because they were all sandwiched together," Euliano said.
Another driver eventually blocked the Porsche.
