A dog who has been waiting to be adopted for 525 days finally found a forever home on Wednesday.
Cassie, a 4-year-old hound/shephard, arrived at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton in Ohio in August of 2017. Since then, she has been adopted and returned multiple times, but the humane society did not give up hope.
They posted Cassie's photo in local TV ads and that's how Cassie's new owner found her.
"It takes a village, but we can't be more excited for this dynamic duo," said the humane society on Facebook.
