MILWAUKEE -- Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have battled over big issues like jobs, national security, and the cost of college education.

Friday night will be the seventh debate between the two. A recent Marquette University Law School poll shows gun control remains a big issue for Wisconsin voters.

Voters support the state's concealed carry law, with 63 percent in favor. When it comes to background checks for private or gun show sales, 85 percent are in favor.

Clinton and Sanders are pretty much on the same page for closing the so-called "gun show loophole." Reports indicate Sanders has taken heat in the past for not supporting the Brady Bill that called for a waiting period and background checks.

Today, Sanders says he's for universal instant background checks and eliminating the gun show loophole.

In Clinton's 2000 Senate run, she endorsed a national gun registration program, but backed off of it during her presidential run in 2008. Today, Clinton supports increasing background checks.

Republican Donald Trump made headlines for wanting to ban Muslims from coming into the United State. The Marquette Poll found that 57 percent of Wisconsin voters oppose such a ban.

Sanders told Jimmy Fallon "that kind of crap is not going to work in the United States of America."

Clinton blasted Trump, saying he "is sending a message to Muslims here in the United States and literally around the world that there is a 'clash of civilizations,' that there is some kind of Western plot or even a 'war against Islam.'"

In the January Marquette poll, Hillary Clinton lead Bernie Sanders 45-43 percent.
