CVS recalls nasal spray for potential life-threatening infections

A recall has been issued for CVS Health 12 Hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist as the product was found to have had microbiological contamination.

Repetitive use of the nasal spray can lead to colonization and cause an infection that can be life-threatening to those with cystic fibrosis or those who are immuno-compromised. 

The recalled nasal spray is the 0.5 fluid ounce bottle with a white cap and comes in an orange box. The product is contaminated if it has an expiration date of '09/19' and a Lot #173089J.

The manufacturing company Product Quest is arranging for returns and replacements of all recalled products with their customers. So far no adverse events have transpired due to the recalled products.
