(WBAL) An elementary school in Catonsville, Maryland school has canceled its production of Disney's "Aladdin, Jr." after complaints of stereotyping Arab culture.

Students at Westowne Elementary School auditioned for the play last month.

It was due to go on in February, but at a meeting Monday night, the school decided to cancel it after the influx of complaints.

"Aladdin, Jr." is adapted from the popular 1992 Disney film "Aladdin."
