MILWAUKEE — According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a 16-year-old is dead following a shooting Saturday night.

The shooting happened around 9:14 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in the area of 12th St. and Concordia Ave.

Police say the 16-year-old died from gunshot injuries. The victim was identified as Desmontae Burns by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the events leading to the shooting and is searching for an unknown suspect.
