MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Zoo has announced the birth of their first ever Red Panda Cub.
According to the zoo, the female cub was born on June 6. She weighed 166 grams at 3-days-old -- and is now about 5 pounds. The cub has not been named yet.
The zoo says the cub is getting acclimated to her new surroundings. Zoo staff is giving her plenty of time to become comfortable with her new home before they have visitors.
The Milwaukee County Zoo says she will make her first "public debut" in the next few weeks.
