The Milwaukee County Zoo is embracing the crisp fall weather by preparing for the annual 'Boo at the Zoo' Halloween event, but this year everyone has to pay to get in.
Normally the event is free to zoo pass holders, but the zoo changed the rules so that everyone is now required to pay general admission.
Some zoo pass members are 'ghosting' the event altogether because of the change.
Shannon Spitzner commented on the Zoo's Facebook event page.
"Really disappointed this is not part of the membership. Likely not going to go."
But other people are trying to find the bright side.
"I'm personally pretty happy that the zoo is charging everyone even pass holders," said Jessica Haywood. "I am a pass holder and I think it will help with the massive crowds that we have experienced in the past...Can't wait for the spooky fun!"
Boo at the Zoo is on Oct. 12 and 13 from 6 to 9 p.m.
