MILWAUKEE -- A wrong-way drunken driver crashed into a semi-truck on I-43 this morning just after midnight.
A 54-year-old woman was arrested for felony 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety and was cited for an OWI. If she is convicted, she will face up to ten years in prison. She was taken to the hospital and her condition is unknown.
The operator of the semi-truck was not injured, but his truck's rear wheels and axle were sheared off the trailer after the Honda Crossover struck it.
After the North Shore Fire Department cleaned up the diesel spill, the freeway was reopened around 4:15 a.m.
