TOWN OF HOLLAND -- Two cars collided on I-43 south in Sheboygan County Wednesday night.

It happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. on the interstate near County AA (Mile Marker 115) in the town of Holland.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred when Richard Brill, 84, of Oostburg was going northbound in the southbound lanes. They said he struck a southbound vehicle being driven by Mark Graceffa, 35, of Grafton.

When deputies arrived, they found both drivers dead at the scene. Officials said one victim was from the area, the other was not. There were no passengers inside either car and no other vehicles were involved.

The accident shut down 43 south near Cedar Grove and Oostburg for about three hours.

Investigators are trying to determine why the driver was going the wrong way on the interstate. The Sheriff's Department doesn't believe drugs or alcohol are involved.

The names of the victims will be released at a later time, pending notification of the families.
