The written threat found in a bathroom stall at Salem Grade School Wednesday read, "I will shoot up this school 5th Grade."
Salem school administrators placed the school on lockdown after becoming aware of the threat that was found in the women's bathroom about 9:34 a.m.
Kenosha County Sheriff Deputies responded to the school to investigate the threat, and the lockdown was lifted about 11:30 a.m.
Sheriff's deputies remained at the school until students left for the day.
Salem Grade School and the sheriff's department say that this incident is not being investigated as a credible threat.
