MILWAUKEE -- A woman has serious injuries after being hit and dragged by a school bus on Milwaukee's north side Monday morning.

Police said the woman was pushed out of a car driving in front of the bus around 6:15 a.m. near 21st and Locust.

When first-responders managed to free her, police saw the victim was naked and had visible injuries to her lower body.

The woman -- who is in her 30s -- was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be OK.

The bus driver, a 46-year-old woman, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Officials said a driver and a child were on the bus at the time of the accident.

The circumstances that led to the crash are under investigation. The car the woman was in has not been found.
