A woman almost got her car stolen after trying to help a neighbor’s dog. She thought he was a stray, and when she hopped out, a man in another car got in hers.

Ollie the dog is unfazed from being the center of attention. He's safe and sound, thanks to a kind neighbor.

“We really love everyone in our neighborhood. They looked out for me and for Oliver. I’m glad he’s safe,” says dog owner Barbie Marquette.

Marquette says she let her English Bulldog out to do his business. When a neighbor pulled up, another car showed up, and someone jumped in Marquette's car.

Police say the man didn't know how to start her car, because it was a hybrid. He locked himself inside. When Marquette demanded he get out, he finally did, but not before stealing her iPhone.

Ollie the dog was reunited with his owner. Police are searching for suspects, but haven’t released a description of the getaway car at this time.
