RACINE, Wis. — A woman whose body was recovered early Sunday after she reportedly drove into Lake Michigan has been identified, according to the Racine County Medical Examiner's Office.

Valencia Days, 40, of Racine, reportedly drove into the lake about 2:30 a.m. Sunday near the Pershing Park Boat Launch.

Days’ body was recovered by the Racine Water Rescue Response Team.

The sheriff's office does not suspect foul play at this time.

Her vehicle also was recovered.

"There’s never a good time to lose a loved one especially during the holiday season. My thoughts and prayers are with the Days family during this incredibly sad and difficult time," Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said.

The investigation is ongoing.
