With the groundbreaking Friday, the Mequon Athlete Performance Sports Complex is officially underway.

"You know the message that we kind of wanna get across is you know, for parents, you drop your kids off, they're in good hands. They're around people that are you know, are credible. And they're passionate in growing your kids. In whatever it is," Travis Diener says.

"It's kind of a one stop shop," Owner Steve Becker says. "And so when we started thinking about this years ago, a place where kids can come in. And get the best training. Playing games. Being around all sorts of different types of people. Get their performance training. The sports medicine. The dietitian stuff. I mean you don't find a place like that, anywhere in the area."

"First grade all the way over to 12th grade," Joe Chapman says. "And also for college kids that come back and professionals that come back in the summer. To have a spot for them to be a one stop shop."

TMJ4 Main Sports Anchor Lance Allan says now that the groundbreaking is over, one word continuously comes up for North Shore Kids. And that's opportunity.

"It could be my 8-year-old daughter. It could be a 28-year-old professional athlete. It is an opportunity for you to come in. Get better. Be around great people," Travis Diener says. "Enjoy the day. Have a smile on your face. But ultimately, the opportunity to grow and just develop."

Giving kids a chance - the best thing.
