The Wisconsin State Patrol is searching for a man they said escaped custody after an OWI arrest Friday morning.
State patrol said they responded to a crash at mile marker 127 on I-39/90/94 eastbound near DeForest just after midnight. The driver in the crash, identified as James Esposito, 25, was arrested for OWI. Around 2 a.m, officials said Esposito escaped police custody and fled on foot at County Highway V and River Road toward the city of DeForest.
Esposito was last seen still in handcuffs, wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, blue shirts and no shoes.
