BIRCHWOOD — For most people, 2020 was a year they'd like to forget. But for Birchwood, Wisconsin native Aaron Telitz, it couldn't have gone much better.

He was recently named the Sportscar365 Rookie of the Year.
"For me, it was a great year. Everything coming together and getting a full time ride with AIM Vasser Sullivan. And then just the team gelling, the second year with the car. Me gelling with Jack as a teammate. Us winning 3 races," Aaron Telitz says.

And while Telitz fell short of the class championship, he has so much more he won and to be proud of.

"Sprint cup champion. It's awesome, and I know it's the pandemic year. People are going to say that. But we're still racing against the same guys we'd be racing against if it wasn't the pandemic. So, we still beat 'em. So, for me? It's a championship. Still counts," Telitz says.

And as a reward? Telitz will return to Vasser Sullivan Racing, in the IMSA Series for 2021.
