While planting trees with children Friday, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said what we're all thinking about snow on Saturday.

"This is not my idea of a good time, having snow on April 27th," he said. "I'm not going to be in a very good mood."

Milwaukee's Department of Public Works put snow plows back on some garbage trucks, and will have crews out salting and treating roads before any snow falls.

"Our hope is we can get a lot of the first snow to melt upon contact with the pavement," Department of Public Works Commissioner Jeff Polenske said. "Obviously, the pavement is warm, so that will help too. We have plows back on. We are prepared and ready."

"Because Sunday is supposed to be warmer and sunny, I'm hoping we won't even need to use the plows," Barrett said.

WE Energies is also closely monitoring the weather, and has more crews ready in case it causes any problems with power.
