They say at least one thing will go wrong at your wedding. But for a Wisconsin couple filming an interview on the big day, no one saw this coming.

Cheyenne and Lucas Kopeschka were in the middle of filming an interview on their wedding day in Fredonia when a branch fell from a tree above and nearly hit them.

Cheyenne said there were no signs that the tree was in decay when the branch fell from nearly 50 feet above them.

She was in the middle of describing her favorite things about Lucas, like his "Nike Shocks," when the tree started cracking and the branch landed on the picnic table they were sitting at seconds earlier.

“I've never been in a situation where a tree branch is coming at your head," said Cheyenne. "Unfortunately, the video only catches so much but luckily he actually did pull me away and blocked me and got hit in the back of the head with the tree.”

Since the video has been posted, people have been accusing Lucas of not protecting his wife, but Cheyenne says that's not true.

“He did save me and I had one little scratch on my arm and he got knocked in the back of the head," she said.

They're lucky to have escaped the situation with minor injuries, but even so, everyone there was in shock.

"You see things like this on Youtube, so to experience it firsthand was crazy," said videographer Freddy Hernandez.

Hernandez, along with Lucas and Cheyenne decided that the footage of the tree needed to stay in the video, and Lucas tied it in perfectly when he said, "Our love will forever be stronger than that tree."
