DEERBROOK, Wis. -- Authorities say a missing 3-year-old boy has been found safe after he wandered into a cornfield in northeastern Wisconsin.
The Langlade County Sheriff's Office posted on its Facebook page Sunday morning that medical personnel were checking the boy, but he was alert, warming up and eating and drinking.
Officials say the boy's family last saw him going into the cornfield sometime between 2 and 3 p.m. Saturday. Officers started searching an area between Antigo and Deerbrook around 6 p.m.
WLUK-TV reports helicopters, search dogs, more than 100 volunteers, and several police and fire departments helped in the search.
