According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Wisconsinites can expect a wetter than normal winter.
On Thursday, the NOAA released their first winter outlook for the U.S. It's the first outlook when it comes to winter temperatures, precipitation and droughts across the country.
According to the outlook, from December through February, Wisconsin has a 50% - 60% chance of seeing more precipitation this winter. What this means is we may see more snow than in the past. However, it could also be rain depending on temperature
The temperature prediction is not as mapped out for Wisconsin as it is for the rest of the country. According to the NOAA, there is an equal chance of Wisconsin being colder than normal as there is of Wisconsin being warmer than normal. That means we will all just have to wait and see what happens when December rolls around.
