MAYVILLE -- Tuesday's forecast was a roller coaster of conditions.

"I was all over the road," said Tyler Wagner.

Drivers dealt with rain, ice, and wind on roadways.

"They've been on and off slick all day long," explained Adam Groh.

To a community familiar with a lot of snow, the roads didn't look bad.

"So you've got to be careful. You never know where it is. It's black ice," said Dave Rader.

"We traveled the highway and the highway was fine, but as soon as you got on the back roads it got pretty bad," explained Brandon Post.

Drivers in Dodge County say looks were deceiving Tuesday night.

"I saw some people getting shoved around in pickup trucks," said Rader.

"It was blowing my car. This was like a sailboat," said Wagner.

"They've been horrible. Just horrible. I mean it's been rainy and that rain turned to ice and it's just so slippery.  Even walking," explained Lucas Sterr.
