MILWAUKEE -- A large tree was dragged about 15 feet by a school bus after high winds knocked it over Wednesday.

It happened near N. 9th St. and W. Hadley Ave. on Milwaukee's north side. Neighbors say they heard it happen. They saw the tree come down over the bus. Some of the windows were shattered, and the kids inside screamed.

Nobody was hurt. A witness says the bus driver got all the kids off the bus.

One teen says it happened right in front of her. She was sitting outside, enjoying the sun, despite the windy day. She looked up just as the school bus was coming to her house.

"The bus just drove by and the wind was blowing really hard so the tree caught onto the bus and dragged it and glass just went everywhere," she said.

Police say the parents all came and picked up their kids. The Forestry Department removed the tree.
